How can something abstract as a design create trust? Airbnb, Blablacar and other sharing economy platforms are a great example of services being designed so well allowing to create trust between people that have never even met each other. But even by living in our own apartments or travelling to work we put our trust to architects, engineers and designers. The list of examples is countless.

Every new technology comes with a certain amount of scepticism. Email, digital banking, social networking – each passed through this phase. It is simply easier for us to trust something we can see or touch, and we can’t really touch a blockchain or any cryptocurrency, can we? Nevertheless, innovations drive our modern society and are constantly shaping the dimensions of our trust and hopefully changing the world for the better.

What is the ultimate recipe for a healthy and happy relationship? Asking for an answer to this we will hear ingredients like love, patience, good sex, compromises and TRUST. Can we even love someone without trusting them?

All these new coins and technologies, but the currency of modern age economy stays the old (but gold) trust. New institutions are being built every day, but trust is what keeps the best of them running. Has trust become more valuable than money?

As emotional beings, we do not only trust words and facts, but also the patterns of human behaviour – the one universal language we all understand. And we are not alone, AI is also learning from our actions. Maybe instead of the question – what level of trust can and should we place in the AI system, we should be asking something a little different. How to teach the AI, so we can trust it to make the right decisions?

Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference – like nanotechnology, which is already successfully being applied in chemistry, biology, physics, engineering and…medicine. Are we prepared to put our trust in the huge potential of a technology we cannot even see?

When it comes to our health, trust is one of the central features of patient-physician relationships and one way to build it is an open communication. However, what if person disability does not allow for the communication? How do we build the trust? And not only – how do we build the trust with anyone else without the ability to communicate?

Trust is essential to any relationship and building it takes a real commitment. But how can you make that commitment to trusting others before trusting your own judgements? The self-trust is important because it shapes us into a greater version of ourselves and allows for our abilities to blossom. If you are going to trust one person, let it be yourself!

What makes ordinary people become leaders? And what makes us follow them? Interesting enough the key word here is not motivation or experience, but TRUST. Great leaders inspire us to trust – in them and in the better tomorrows they are building.

Can you actually believe everything you see with your own eyes? We choose to trust them with the difficult task of building the reality we live in. But what happens if our brain is telling a story, our heart doesn’t believe in? Questioning reality and its apparent structures can reveal unexpected.

Fake news with painfully real consequences. Social media perfection, hiding the ugly truth behind filters. We have arrived at the point where we wouldn’t trust anything we see, hear or read. Can we find a way to restore the public trust in the media?
