It is inspiring and a great honour to be involved! TEDxKlagenfurt is captivating, daring and provocative in a way that it can help you step outside your comfort zone and see things from a different perspective. Wake up and go after that dream of yours. Aim high, dream big, stay focused and work hard. And remember to embrace failure and ask for help as you go along. Life is full of TED moments!

Favorite TED talk: Barbara Sher: Isolation is the dream-killer, not your attitude

As long as I can remember I’ve been motivated by two things. The first, is that we’re all in control of our own happiness and positivity. I believe this mindset can help us overcome any challenge we face. The second, is that each of us can positively influence others and in doing so we can help change lives. For me TEDxKlagenfurt epitomizes these two things. It’s honest, invigorating and it’s truly inspirational. I’m thrilled to be involved, what an absolute honour!

For a long time I have been fascinated by the sheer variety of inspiration that TED offers. I love the TED spirit of sharing ideas worth spreading and the openness to each other’s ideas and stories. I am now thrilled to be a part of TEDxKlagenfurt and to contribute to the TEDx community.

Whether inventing the next awesome thing, researching new ways of combining work, play and education or helping his students to unlock their full creative potential, Adam Montandon loves to share his knowledge, energy and certainly has the ability to get people excited anytime.

It’s not a secret Adam CAN talk and TRUST us he is simply mind-blowing in that! Not only he is a teacher, international thought leader, but he has also given many passionate, fun and inspiring keynotes at events around the world, including TEDx, which makes him an expert in the field of creative public speaking. In addition, he is an author of The Awesome Department and co-founder of Factory of Imagination – Scandinavia’s largest imagination event.

We are extremely pleased that Adam, will take on a slightly different challenge with us and become a moderator of our TEDxKlagenfurt 2018 event. In the spirit of this year’s topic of TRUST, we asked Adam the following question:

Do you trust that everything you can imagine is real?

I like the spirit and the mindset of the team. They work for a big idea: bringing great and inspiring ideas and people to a bigger audience to inspire other people. I’m really convinced this is a great initiative and I want to support it.

Whenever I’m stuck, need inspiration or want to simply open up my horizon, listening to a TED talk is an option (competing with talking to a friend, reading or simply moving in fresh air…). Being an active part within the TEDx community is a step I’m really thrilled about. I believe, our world will be a better place, the more people listen to TED talks on a regular basis. Go for it!

You have to attend only once and you will fully understand my intention. My first attendance at TEDxKlagenfurt was like a dream I didn’t want to end. It was great with all the details and the participants (speakers, attendees , organizers). For this reason I wanted this dream to be continued and here we are to make it more exciting and fun.

As I was literally blown away by my first TEDx event this year in Klagenfurt, I knew that I wanted to be part of this incredible happening, this high-profile event and this awesome team, the moment I walked out the door after the showdown. So here I come TEDxKlagenfurt. Ready to tackle the challenge, work hard, support on all levels, contribute to the success and rock the show to make it an equally impressive experience for everyone in the room.

From the time I took part at the TEDxKlagenfurt as a volunteer one thing was very clear: I definitely want to join the organizing team! When I visited TEDx Klagenfurt last year for the first time, I was fascinated from the moment I arrived at the event location. The TED spirit caught me and the incredible experience I had on that day contributed to my wish of joining the people that made such a stunning event possible. A year later, I am proud to call myself a member of a highly motivated team that works for the mission of spreading different ideas and beliefs amongst curious people. I’m honored to be part of the TEDx Klagenfurt team and eager to bring inspirational people to the beautiful location Carinthia!
